I spent 8 months at Geotab across two internship terms as a Digital Designer on the Digital Marketing team. My main focus was creating UX designs and improvements for Geotab.com, working closely with the design team to improve the user experience across the website.
During my time there, I worked on a wide range of projects, from smaller tasks like creating Figma components and design system updates to larger projects like conducting navigation usability testing with real users and turning research findings into actionable design changes.
My experience at Geotab was an amazing introduction to the professional design world. I got to experience the day-to-day of a 9–5 while working with such a welcoming and supportive team. One thing I really appreciated was how Geotab treated interns like full-time employees, giving me the opportunity to contribute to real projects and feel like a valued member of the team from day one.

The animation guides users through the Go Focus Plus's features using motion and interaction to make technical functionality feel approachable.

I created this animation from sourcing and getting approval on product images and text to building the final interactive experience. Working through feedback and approval rounds helped ensure the animation was both accurate and aligned with Geotab's brand guidelines.

This phone animation was created in Rive to demonstrate notification alerts from the Go Focus Plus AI dash-cam.
The animation visualizes how fleet managers receive real-time email/SMS notifications when events such as possible collisions or rule violations occur.

I translated complex product features into a simple animation, refining visuals and text through approval rounds before building the final version in Rive, making it easier for users to quickly understand how the system works.

Designed UI headers for a dozen website sections in Illustrator, using company photos and assets, and iterated through multiple approvals to ensure brand consistency. I made headers for pages such as driver coaching, fleet management reports, fleet sustainability, etc.

I worked on the web design system in Figma, creating reusable components such as steppers, tooltips, radio buttons, checkboxes, and other core UI elements for the website. I collaborated with other UX designers to define component states, specifications, colors, and sizing, and worked closely with developers to ensure the designs translated smoothly into code.
